Grown Up Spring Break
For those of you who don’t know, I am headed to the desert in just a few days to listen to some music and walk about 40 miles (really, I tracked it). Packing for Coachella has me feeling like I am preparing for battle, dramatic-yes but it is that serious. If you’re not headed to 102 degree heat (all be it, dry) you may soon be headed out for a vacation, your very own grown up spring break.
Do I think you absolutely need every one of these items to survive a desert music festival? No, but I am not here to tell you what you need or don’t need. I am here to tell you what I want.
Shop this guide, pack your bags and don’t forget your SPF.
as is with most of my guides, I can only share so much here so if you want even more options, check out the ever growing folder on ShopMy
P.S. If you’re reading this in your email, I will warn you now it’s too long so make sure to open the whole message or you will miss all of the good stuff!
It’s in the bag: My favorite combo for sunny days: SPF and self tanner. A common area people forget needs SPF, the lips. You’ll never have to worry with this lip balm set (and yes they’re eczema safe). As a pale girl I have to protect my skin as best I can but that doesn’t mean I have to be translucent. I am new to the self tanner game but luckily I feel I have already struck gold with the Cyklar tanning body milk and tanning water spray from Saltyface.

Float on by: It’s all about swimwear and sets whether you’re sitting by the pool or the beach. Don’t leave coordination it up to chance with this 4 piece matching set. I have been waiting my whole life for an adult sized hooded towel and this is absolutely the closest I have found to cure that childhood desire, it just so happens to also have a pair of matching shorts. If there is 1 brand I ride or die for, it’s Hunza G but if you’re looking to try something new, rumor is the tankini is back.

Out for an adventure: If you are in the desert next weekend you may see me in a pair of Salomon sneakers (with hiking socks for blisters - this isn’t amateur hour), denim shorts and a truly major top. That’s my 40k step adventure - fashion on top and utility on the bottom.

A night to remember: You know in Holiday in the Sun where they go to that teen night club and Megan Fox has that monologue about how she always gets what she wants and then Play performs? How about Aquamarine, when she turns that t-shirt in to a halter dress? Well this is what I imagine they would wear if those movies were made in 2026.
